ZL23A grooved filter rod making combination consists of YL23 shaping machine and YL13A opening machine. It is an updated machine combination improved from ZL23. This unit keeps all the performances of ZL23. It cannot be used to only produce cellulose acetate and polypropylene fiber rods, but also can be used to manufacture grooved filter rods.

It can reduce the tar content to 3~5mg by connecting the grooved filter rods that produced by our ZL23A machine unit to the cigarettes, thus will greatly decrease the harmfulness of smoking and help to prevent counterfeiting in cigarette production. It is a new grooved filter rod making equipment that can meet the demands of new production process in cigarette industry. It fills the gaps of the needs for such a machine at home and makes the situation of domestic factories’ purchasing grooved filters only by importing a history.

Grooved filter rod means that two layers of paper are wrapped on the outer side of cellulose acetate fiber bundles. The external layer is the ordinary filter rod paper and the internal layer is the specially -made groove and coil paper with high air permeability. After shaping by a groove roller, the grooved filter rod coil paper will enter into the pipe with the ordinary paper for packing and sealing. The groove paper also has the function of storing paper and receiving it automatically. This machine unit is also independent frequency and PLC controlled, and automatically carries out system coordination with the master machine of YL23.

This unit can be used for multiple purposes. By switching the function bottoms only, then cellulose acetate fiber, polypropylene fiber and grooved filter rods will be produced respectively, by changing groove roller only, then all types of grooved filter rods can be produced.
